Genmab Appoints Rodrigo Fernandez-Baca as General Manager, Italy and Spain

Genmab A/S (Nasdaq: GMAB) today announced the appointment of Rodrigo Fernandez-Baca as General Manager, Italy and Spain, supporting the company’s continued growth in Europe to bring its innovative antibody-based medicines to more patients with cancer.
Founded in 1999 in Copenhagen, Genmab is an international biotechnology company specializing in antibody-based medicines. As General Manager, Rodrigo will oversee Genmab’s business in Italy and Spain, with responsibility for driving alignment, performance, and launch excellence to advance the company’s mission to improve the lives of patients with cancer and other serious diseases.

Rodrigo joins Genmab with more than 20 years of international biotech and pharmaceutical leadership experience, most recently with a specialized focus in oncology and hematology. He has held senior leadership positions at companies including Clovis Oncology, Seagen, and Pfizer, where he was responsible for overseeing broad oncology and hematology portfolio strategies across Spain, Italy, and France.
Earlier in his career, Rodrigo held senior leadership roles at Eli Lilly and Gilead Sciences where he led local and European commercialization strategies, built high-performing teams, and oversaw major product launches in Europe.
